Johnson County Corrections Visitation Information:
We ask that all visitors please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled visit, with your picture Identification.
• All Identification must be state-issued either a driver’s license, county/state-issued ID card, passport, or military.
• Children 15 and older must have a school ID
• Children 17 and younger will have to be accompanied by an adult
It is a CRIME to bring prohibited items and weapons to a Correctional Facility.
• Please secure the following items: purses, wallets, hand-carried items, tobacco products; lighters, cell phones, and weapons of any kind shall be secured in the visitor’s vehicle.
• All visitors’ vehicles shall be secured while at the Johnson County Corrections Center.
• Visitors in Johnson County are subject to a physical search if deemed necessary.
Video Visitation & Onsite Visitation Attire (Clothing):
The dress code must be followed by all ages, male and female, or you will not be allowed to visit.
All visitors must be dressed appropriately.
All clothing that is revealing is prohibited.
No clothing that depicts language, pictures, or drawings that may be considered profane or offensive.
Shirt/Blouse - only shirts with sleeves may be worn.
- No sleeveless shirts
- No see-through shirts
- No low cut or midriff shirts
No shorts or dresses above mid-thigh
Pants/shorts/dresses (must be worn at or above the waist)
DENIAL OR TERMINATION OF VISIT:
A visit may be terminated or denied, and/or visitation privileges suspended for the following circumstances:
• Anyone who arrives late or does not have a picture ID will not be allowed to visit.
• Visitor under the influence of drugs/alcohol
• Visitor refuses or fails to produce sufficient identification, or falsifying identification
• Disruptive children
• Inappropriate display of affection or inappropriate activity
• If you have been released from Johnson County Correction within the last 30 days
• Conduct deemed disruptive of visiting operations, and or security.
Violation of the above-listed rules will cause a visit to be terminated and may result in denial of future visits.
SPECIAL VISITS:
Special visitation may be granted to an out-of-town visitor(s) if their home is 150 miles or greater from the Johnson County Corrections Center.
Special visits will be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted to the On-Duty-Captain the week of the requested visit (All visitation rules apply).
